Message from the Chief: Hey TaTanka! I'm glad you've found our Chapter website! Here you can find the calendar, and email addresses for chapter members and leaders. Also if you have your email address in the website we'll send you a Newsletter every other week to inform you about upcoming activities, and to show pictures of our activities.
To sync your calendar on your smartphone or your google calendar with the chapter calendar click "Calendar Sync" under the "User" category on the left of the page. Then click if you have an android, iphone or the other options. Then click "create calendar feed" and then follow the other instructions. After that your calendar on your smartphone or google calendar on your computer will have the chapter calendar. This is really helpful if you don't want to go to the chapter website to see the calendar everytime you want to see an event. The more we're connected as a chapter the better the chapter will be so please take advantage of the website.
Best Wishes,
Matthew Hanna

Chief's Message for March

Posted on Feb 22 2018 - 4:20pm

Hey TaTanka,

We had a very fun month this February. We had two elections and we had our first campout of the year at Kelso Dunes. We have a lot of really good photos from the campout from Mr. Ganiere, Mr. Hanna, and myself in the pictures section, so check those out. I'm planning on having two other campouts this year so anyone who didn't come on this past one should come then.
Please look at our calendar for this month and next month. Please try to be there for the service projects, chapter meetings, and activities as well. Our next activity is going to be Boomers on March 23 from 7-10 PM. By the end of the month I will hopefully get everyone's email addresses into the website so that everyone can be able to see the calendar and get the Newsletter every other week. Let's have a great March! You guys are the best, go TaTanka!
Yours In Brotherhood,
Matthew Hanna
Chapter Chief of TaTanka

2018

Posted on Feb 6 2018 - 8:04am

Welcome Tatanka,

We have already had a couple of great activities thus far in 2018.

  • We hosted the 2017 National Order of the Arrow Chief, Forrest Gertin. It was a great time had by all as we showed off some of the best of Orange County. We biked from the Balboa Peninsula to Huntinton Beach Peer. We enjoyed ocean views from Ruby's on the Balboa Pier. We cruised Newport Bay and explored the Fun Zone.
  • We celebrated another year of Wiatava with great food and lots of awards at the Lodge Banquet.

2017 was an amazing year. Tatanka won the Spirit Award at Pow Wow and we can look forward to awards for our efforts this year at the next Lodge Banquet.

Service Project

Posted on Jan 24 2018 - 4:27pm

This is Chapter Chief Matthew Hanna here to remind you about the Lodge Service Project this Saturday, January 27 from 7:30 - 3:30 PM at the Habitat for Humanity Building Home Site - Placentia Santa Ana. It is important to note that you have to be 16 years of age or older to participate in this project. Lunch will also be included. Below is the flyer from the lodge. I hope to see everyone that is 16 years or older at this service project to represent the chapter and to get service hours for school. This project was planned by our very own Patrick Ganiere who is the 2018 Lodge Service chief.
